B2B Account Representative

General Summary of Purpose:

As our B2B Account Representative, you will work directly with existing and prospective Oriental Trading Business/Commercial/School District customers nationwide to increase revenue and profitability while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

Essential Functions

  1. Manages key customers that may consist of multiple buying entities primarily over the phone (98%) with occasional travel and trade shows (2%).
  2. Establishes an ongoing relationship with existing customers to comprehend customer purchasing requirements and to assess customer awareness of the full company product line.
  3. Meets or exceed established sales goals set by Oriental Trading Company.
  4. Assists customers in the resolution of problems and provides documentation for support team to ensure on-going adherence to processes that drive customer satisfaction.
  5. Achieves a high level of phone and email activity (talks to customers roughly 3 hours per day making 75+ calls and working 75+ emails).
  6. Coordinates bids, quotes and business registrations as required by customers.
  7. Prospects for new large opportunities by calling and following up with sales leads generated through marketing channels and/or industry partnerships.
  8. Actively markets company products and services by providing materials that can be shared inside customer organizations.
  9. Oversees client specific sales strategies that may require interaction with other areas of the company (product development and/or outside vendors).
  10. Acts as the primary point person for industry marketplaces and technology connections that support customer purchase transactions.
  11. Develops and maintains knowledge of competition, pricing, strategies, handling of customer needs and problem resolution.  Develop and maintain knowledge of competition’s primary products and markets.
  12. Provides key reporting on weekly/monthly basis to include but not limited to: Revenue Pipeline/Forecast, Prospect Opportunities, Account Reviews, and Activity Reports.
  13. Assists in the marketing strategy for tradeshows; be involved in constructing and set up/break down of the booth at trade shows as needed
  14. Attends Trade Shows as needed.  Conducts follow-up after trade shows for all customer and new prospect needs.
  15. Maintains regular and predictable attendance
  16. Abides by all policies and procedures of Oriental Trading Company
  17. Work requires in-person collaboration among colleagues and contractors as well as online meeting platforms like Microsoft Teams.

 

Marginal Functions

  1. Attends company functions, meetings, seminars, etc. which may not impact their own customer base directly but will have a positive impact on the company as whole
  2. Documents sales efforts for current customers, prospects and sales campaigns through standardized forms, reports, and systems
  3. Performs other related duties and projects as assigned

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree (preferred) in Business, Marketing, Education or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

Experience

  • Minimum 2 years Sales, Account Management or presentation experience required

 

Other Qualifications

  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in written form
  • Strong telephone sales/account management skills/experience
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills
  • Possess high level of professionalism, ethics and confidence with an engaging personality and commitment to driving results
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to work effectively in the office, from home or while traveling
  • Ability to travel as needed
  • Ability to handle customers in a professional and courteous manner
