As our QA Automation Engineer, you will be an integral part of the design and implementation of Information Technology oriented business solutions.  The person in this position assists in the delivery of automated testing services in support of IT objective. This position will identify and adopt new testing methodologies, best practices and tools to improve test coverage and greatly reduce the need for repetitive functional testing.  This role does require some in-person work weekly in Omaha, Nebraska.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

Essential Functions

1. Create automated test components and suites to reduce repetitive testing using Java and Keyword based test frame works
2. Utilize provided tool sets to develop automated test scripts used to perform testing on web UI, mobile, API and backend systems
3. Ensure test suites and test cases align to software development standards, code is managed in version control tools and will perform code reviews for visibility and to build automation competency across the team
4. Ensure software development standards, policies and documented requirements are met by generating traceability matrices and reports 
5. Conduct defect management and work with technical and business teams to resolve functional and non-functional issues and ensure the quality of deliverables
6. Assist with design of system integration, regression, and UAT testing solutions utilizing business/functional requirements to follow Adaptive/Responsive development standards
7. Provide recommendations on automation tools based on industry standards to minimize defects and improve the stability of the applications
8. Abide by all policies and procedures of Oriental Trading Company
9. Must be able to attend face to face meetings on short or little advance notice
10. Work requires in-person collaboration among colleagues and contractors

Education

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or closely related field required

Experience

• 3+ years of experience as a Software/QA Engineer or related discipline
• 3+ years of experience translating business/functional requirements into test requirements
• 3+ years of experience in designing and developing automation test suites for both UI and APIs
• 2+ years of experience maintaining automated testing tools such as TestComplete, BitBar, Selenium, Selenium Grid, QuickTest Pro
• Experience with Web, Mobile and API testing technologies and tools
• Experience with source control tools such as Git, GitHub or GitLab
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, CodeDeploy or Jenkins
